The first cement plant construction was started in the village of Kohitang in Sherabad district of Surkhandarya region, which is being constructed in cooperation with South Korea's NCG Engineering. Governor of Surkhandarya region Tura Bobolov and the head of NCG Engineering Jang Il Kweon also attended the event. The head of the company expressed his satisfaction with the cooperation with Uzbekistan. By investing in the development of our country's economy, this cement plant will produce 1 million tons of quality portland cement a year. About 400 new jobs will be created at the launch of a factory that will cost 170 million dollars. The construction of 60 hectares of land will be completed in 2021.
